How we use AI

We use automation to produce recurring, data-driven articles. We are specific about where, because you should know what you are reading.

Where we use it

Our daily rate reports and recurring data reports are drafted automatically from our own rate data — the same figures that power our rate tables and indexes. Automation assembles the numbers and a first draft of the language.

Where we do not

• No article publishes without a named human editor reviewing and editing it. The byline is that person. They are accountable for it.
• We do not use AI to invent quotes, sources, statistics, or analysis.
• We do not generate articles from other publishers' reporting.
• Our guides, explainers, and product analysis are written by people.

What that means for accuracy

The underlying data is ours and is reconciled before it reaches an article. If we get something wrong, it is a human error and we correct it the same way as any other — see our corrections policy.
