About this role
RateZip is looking for a Comparison Product Development Manager to own the end-to-end quality and accuracy of our rate-comparison tools. You will work across mortgages, savings, CDs, and insurance to make sure the data consumers see is correct, the matching logic is sound, and the user experience is clear. This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of product, QA, and operations.
Responsibilities
- —Audit live rate tables, comparison results, and lender matches for accuracy on an ongoing basis.
- —Define and execute test plans for new product launches and feature releases.
- —Coordinate with engineering to document bugs, prioritize fixes, and verify resolutions.
- —Monitor lender-feed integrations and flag data anomalies before they reach consumers.
- —Develop internal QA checklists and runbooks for each product vertical.
- —Collaborate with the content team to ensure editorial accuracy aligns with product data.
- —Report on comparison-quality metrics to leadership on a weekly cadence.
Qualifications
- —3+ years in a QA, product-operations, or comparison-product role — ideally in fintech, lending, or insurance.
- —Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data (spreadsheets, feeds, APIs).
- —Ability to communicate clearly in writing — bug reports, process docs, and status updates.
- —Familiarity with mortgage and financial-services terminology.
- —Self-directed work style suited to a small, remote team.
Nice to have
- —Experience with NMLS-regulated products or lead-generation platforms.
- —Basic SQL or scripting ability for ad-hoc data checks.
- —Previous work at a comparison or marketplace company.
