Individuals who qualify for the Home Flex Plus program can receive as much as 3% of their loan amount as a grant to help pay the down payment, closing costs, and/or prepaid items of a home purchase.
In order to be eligible, applicants must finish a homebuying education class, have a credit score of at least 620, and as of 2020, cannot have an annual household income amount higher than $116,300. The property being purchased must be the applicant’s primary residence and cannot have more than four units.
