About

Pac Trust Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Banc of California Inc. (NASDAQ: BANC), is a federally chartered community savings bank which has been operating since 1941. The bank has 14 full service branches in the Los Angeles and San Diego CA areas. Pac Trust offers personal and business banking, mortgage loans, home equity loans, savings accounts, CDs and more.

Pac Trust's history dates back to 1941, when the Rohr Employees Federal Credit Union was founded in Chula Vista, California. The credit union was intended to serve Rohr Aircraft's employees. As the credit union continued to expand, it became the Pacific Trust Federal Credit Union in 1995 and finally Pacific Trust Bank in 2000. Pac Trust had its initial public offering (IPO) in 2002. Until July 2013, Pac Trust's holding company was First PacTrust Bancorp; now it is Banc of California.

Today, Pac Trust Bank has more than $3 billion in assets and over 60 total locations, although many of these locations are only partial service or part of The Private Bank of California, Pac Trust's sister bank. The bank offers a wide array of financial products, including savings and checking accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), and various loan options. Unlike most mortgage lenders, Pac Trust offers only adjustable rate loans. The three options available are 3/1, 5/1, and 7/1 ARMs. Additionally, the bank offers home equity loans.

Although it is now a large publicly traded company, Pac Trust has not wavered in its commitment to local communities in the greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas of Southern California.
