About

First National Bank of Texas (FNBT) and its sister bank, First Convenience Bank (FCB), is a community bank serving Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. The company operates as both FNBT and FCB in Texas, while only the FCB name exists in Arizona and New Mexico. First National Bank of Texas makes convenient banking its top priority by offering expanded branch hours and internet banking solutions. The company's slogan is “Real Hours for Real People.” FNBT offers its customers mortgage loans, CDs, and traditional checking and savings accounts.

FNBT's history goes all the way back to 1901, when it was founded in Killeen, Texas, where it still maintains headquarters. In 1997, First National Bank of Texas opened its initial First Convenience Bank location, and in 2011 the company left Texas for the first time as it expanded into Arizona and New Mexico. Today, FNBT and FCB have over 300 branches, over 350 ATMs, and employ more than 3000 people.

First Texas National Bank's interest rates are updated weekly on the company website. Here, you can find the latest rates for checking / high yield checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit (CDs). FNBT's CDs are available in 3, 6, 9, and 12 month maturities, along with 2 and 5 year options. The company is also a mortgage lender under the name First Community Mortgage. First Community offers a wide variety of options, from conventional fixed rate and adjustable rate loans to VA products, to the popular USDA rural loan. There are also special programs for first time home buyers and those who need assistance with down payments and/or closing costs.

Though it is growing quickly – particularly since 2011 – First National Bank of Texas and First Convenience Bank remain very committed to the communities that they serve. On the FNBT website, you will find a seemingly never ending list of community projects that FNBT has either sponsored or participated in. Further, the company continues to upgrade the service that it provides in communities across the Texas.
