PNC Bank (NYSE: PNC) is the retail arm of PNC Financial Services Group, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. It is one of the largest banks in the United States. As of this writing, it has $271 billion in assets, making in the sixth largest US bank; PNC is also the sixth largest by deposits, and it has the third largest network of off-premise ATMs. PNC Bank operates branches in 19 states and Washington D.C. and has millions of customers across the country. It offers home mortgage loans, CDs, savings / checking accounts, and more.

PNC Bank's history traces back to the 1850's, when the Pittsburgh National Corporation & Provident National Corporation, the two banks that would become PNC, were founded. In 1982, these two banks merged to form PNC Financial Corporation (both companies shared these initials) in what was America's largest bank merger. Since the 1990's, PNC Bank has grown its footprint through organic growth and acquisitions of smaller banks. One recent acquisition of note is RBC Bank, purchased in 2011.

PNC Bank, a full service financial institution, offers a full suite of financial products. This includes consumer banking accounts such as certificates of deposit, standard checking and savings accounts, and money market accounts. Additionally, PNC is a mortgage lender, offering fixed and adjustable rate mortgages, along with FHA and VA loans.
